We help Veterans and families in need by providing household furnishings. Our furniture donations program allows us to brighten the lives of the people in need by bringing dignity, self-respect and promoting success into their new start. We do this while reducing the environmental footprint by keeping discarded furnishings out of our local landfills.
Our Mission
MAKE A HOME FOUNDATION is a Not for Profit Organization Dedicated to Assisting the Homeless of Connecticut, which Include Veterans and their Families, Victims of Domestic Abuse, and the Needy by Working Alongside other Community Agencies in the Creation of Pathways Off of the Streets, and Into Fully Furnished Homes. Our Vision Embraces Restoring Comfort, Stability and Hope to All Those who Find Themselves in a Life Crisis with Nowhere to Turn.
Those We Serve
Make a Home Works Tirelessly to Assist Individuals who are not only Going Through a Life Crises but Most Often have Lost Everything, and Feel Helpless, as well as Forgotten by Society.
These Individuals are:
- Veterans.
- Parents, Children and Even Their Pets Fleeing Domestic Abuse.
- Victims of Natural Disasters, Fire, Floods and Other Weather Events.
- The homeless and Poverty Stricken.
- Individuals who Suffer from Mental or Physical and Permanent Disabilities.
- Those Seeking a Way to Transition from Halfway to Permanent Housing.
- Seniors who Feel Forgotten.

How You Can Help
By giving us just 34 cents a day ($10 per month) or 67 cents a day ($20 per month), this can help buy a new bed or pots and pans. Think what a difference YOU can make.

When you donate to MAHF, the majority of your contribution goes directly towards providing household furnishings to veterans and families in need. We prioritize minimizing our operating expenses to maximize the impact of every donation and make a tangible difference in our communities, you can be confident that your contribution is going towards improving someone’s quality of life and making our communities a better place to live.
